{Birthday Boy and a Werewolf}

Today is Ben's birthday!

He said its been his best birthday ever.

The reason why?

Not because I bought him anything super awesome (although 8 shirts is pretty cool I think).

Utah is in the top market for the movie "Twilight" dvd sales. To celebrate, and mostly promote I'm sure, they sent us Chaske Spencer, aka "Sam Uley".

Chaske came for morning press interviews and then our radio station, 101.5 The Eagle, had a mini fan party for 19 lucky ladies...and Ben.

If you didn't know, my husband is an adorable fan of the Twilight series.

Ben got to meet Sam and his day was complete.

They chatted about guy-stuff--working out and his diet during the movie.

His conviction of being a werewolf over being a vampire still stands.

{Be Nice to Yourself}

I couldn't resist another post tonight. This one is all inspired by www.spirituallyspeaking.blogspot.com . Occasionally, I have a hard time with being nice to myself, and this week I realized that I'm not the only one. I would never bully someone else, so why is it okay to bully myself? Time to be nice and kind...always.

{Be Passionate About Something}

I'm at a new place in my life. I've now been married a year so my social circles have changed quite a bit. I have been looking for that "thing" that motivates and inspires me". I got lucky and found a few "somethings".

I've always loved music, mainly country music. A few years ago I started interning on 101.5 The Eagle doing production, promotions and occasionally got to chat on-air as "Late Kate". I LOVED it. The last year or so I've only been able to help at events, but my love for radio and country music is still very much alive. 

As I've missed having direct associations with music every week, I've been looking for something to help fill that void. A small miracle happened awhile back and I've been able to combine my love for music AND service.
